It was easy to cut to size using a box cutter, and easy to install with the adhesive backing already on the product. I purchased this larger version for a dining room window (which also faces West) and again was relieved with the ease of installation and the immediate solution to a long-standing dilemma. It's not fancy or elegant in any way but very functional and the cost was perfect for my budget. It cuts back on the direct sunlight in the morning, keeping the house cooler. The only thing is the measurements on it were a littl bit off. I wouldn't have needed to cut it at all.
